The game is beautiful, the composition of gorgeous colours. The one bright spot in this world for sad-sack Rufus is a beautiful (but married) girl named Goal. Its well animated with brilliant voices but the amount of. In Deponia, the world has degenerated into a vast garbage dump. Silence’s writers deserve credit for a story that takes a lot of familiar elements of beloved fairy-tales and children’s literature and makes them into something new and unique. The game runs smooth and if you played the game on PC, it will probably feel almost exactly the same. Deponia is a point and click live to the original concept and feels like one from back in the day. I was waiting for the other two games to be available ever since I played the first Deponia for the Switch. Rufus is a confident dope who bears much in common with Secret of Monkey Island. Goodbye Deponia for Nintendo Switch Review by Anthony Pamias FebruYou have to love how there is no end of ports for the Nintendo Switch, and now we have all of the Deponia ports. Deponia is a fine example of the genre, but theres no getting around the fact that the games price on Switch will be your main barrier to entry here. Again, this reminded me of the classic Narnia tales, in which children fleeing World War II become embroiled in the struggle between Aslan and The White Witch. Deponia (the game) is a lot of things: It’s an adventure, romance, and comedy all wrapped up into one goofy story. It turns out that the war going on in the “real” world is mirrored by a conflict in Silence itself, this time between the Rebels and the Seekers. Help Rufus to win over the girl from heaven and escape Deponia. I was even reminded of Alice in Wonderland, in the way that Noah and Renie escape to an alternate world full of anthropomorphic creatures and trippy visuals. The one bright spot in this world for sad-sack Rufus is a beautiful (but married) girl named Goal. The classic influences are also apparent in the lush Disney-esque high level of visual and musical polish, enhanced by touches like the sumptuous score by Tilo Alperman, which matches the emotional pitch of the narrative beautifully. It’s in elements like these that Silence projects a nice fairy-tale vibe, or the feel of a children’s book come to life.
